BSL Teaching Assistant - Reading

Level 2 - SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School

£83 - £90 per day dependent on experience

There is an exciting opportunity to secure a 1 year contract at an 'Outstanding' two form entry Mainstream Primary School based in Reading. This is a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant opportunity to work with a child in a Year 4 class who is deaf. The position requires someone with BSL Level 2 training and who has experience in a similar role would be ideal. The role is available to start Reading.

The Primary school would ideally like to meet candidates who have a degree and who have some experience working with Special Educational Needs e.g. Autism, ADHD, dyslexia. This role will entail a variety of responsibilities and will offer excellent experience for the teaching assistant appointed. Minimum standards will include Maths and English at GCSE graded C or above.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with this hearing impaired child.

The Primary school in Reading are looking for teaching assistants who are energetic and passionate about their input into a child's education. The teaching assistant will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within KS1 and KS2 and the teaching assistant's primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson. As these children have additional needs, the successful teaching assistant will go above and beyond to ensure the children are supported and progressing to the best of their abilities.
