About Us

At Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green, we are deeply committed to ensuring excellence: for every child, every day. We believe in the potential and uniqueness of each student and strive to foster an environment that allows every child to reach their fullest potential.

As a small academy, with a single form in each year group, we aim to give our pupils a balanced, exciting and truly enjoyable education that prepares them for success in secondary school and beyond. Our children are at the heart of everything we do, we all believe HPABG is their school and we put them at the centre of every decision we make.

Located in the heart of Beckenham, we are part of the Harris Federation which runs five other successful primary academies in Bromley and more than 50 academies in total in and around London. We benefit from being part of this thriving community of schools.

Our ethos of being 'Ready, Respectful, and Safe' is more than just words. It permeates everything we do, shaping our students' experiences from the classroom to the playground and beyond. This fundamental ethos prepares our pupils not only to learn effectively, but also to communicate appropriately, treat each other with respect, and stay safe. Our goal is to instil these values, ensuring they become well-rounded citizens ready to excel in the wider community and beyond.

At Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green, we have high expectations - of our staff and of our pupils. We have a firm belief that everyone can achieve great things through hard work and perseverance. Yet, we also teach our children not to fear failure. Instead, we view it as a stepping stone, an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow. It is this balance of drive and resilience that equips our pupils to face life's challenges with confidence and grace.

Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide an adapted curriculum that meets the strengths and needs of every pupil. We recognize that each child learns in their own unique way, and our teaching strategies reflect this understanding. This tailored approach helps us to unlock the potential in every pupil, providing them with the best possible foundation for future success.
