As part of our strategic growth plans, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial leader to join us as a Branch Manager, helping us further grow throughout the UK & Ireland.

As Branch Manager, you will start up a new office in a location of your choice with the freedom to develop independently and grow in line with your business ideas and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to develop and expand our brand

  • Continually meet and exceed the expectations of your clients

  • Ensure the company hits its strategic targets around growth and profit maximisation by consistently targeting new business opportunities

  • Making accurate, rapid cost and value calculations and providing customers with prompt quotations

  • Managing and nurturing strong relationships with clients, hauliers and suppliers

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality

  • Develop all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively and achieves agreed objectives

  • Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure the company maintains and develops its competitive position

The Candidate

  • A minimum of 2 years sales experience with a proven track record in Ocean, Air or Road Freight Forwarding

  • A book of business and industry connections

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written

  • A proactive problem solver and leader, capable of innovative thinking to enhance customer service quality and outperform competitors

  • Must have ways of thinking outside of the box to get ahead of the competitors and improve the quality of service to customers

  • A good, strong personality with ability to problem solve and make decisions

  • The right candidate should be able to cost, quote and operate their own shipments with either suppliers of their choice or from our existing network

  • A self- starter able to achieve tasks and overcome problems, as well as provide direction for others

  • An ambitious and driven individual with a passion for working in logistics and freight forwarding

  • Relationship building and networking skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

  • Salary £40,000 - £60,000 DOE/Negotiable plus very attractive uncapped bonus/commission structure
