BRAKE PRESS OPERATIVE REQUIRED ASAP BEDFORD. IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE,UP TO £35K/ANNUM (NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE)

Role: Brake Press Operative

Location: Bedford

Duration: Long-term, could lead to permanent work for the right candidates

Rate: Up to £35K/Annum (Negotiable depending on previous experience)

Summary

Operate the Trumpf CNC Brake Press and support the production team operating machinery, folding, punching and preparation of sheet metal products as required.

Primary responsibilities

- Operate the CNC brake press.

·Select and set up machine based on material type and thickness, load programmes and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the machine.

·Assist the team in operation of punch and laser machines (training given)

·Monitor fill level of bulk gas storage system and record levels daily

·Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.

·Keep work area clean and organised.

·Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.

·Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency.

·Working to all H&S requirements.

Hours

42.5 hour working week, example hours 7am - 4pm.

Reporting to:

·Fabrication department team lead and Operations Manager.

Ideal knowledge and skill requirements:

·1+ years’ experience on brake press.

·Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and fabrication.

·Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.

·Flexible approach to working.

·Team worker.
