Bookkeeper
What the role would include:
- Bookkeeping, bank statements, ledger reconciliations
- Assisting in the initial preparation of tax returns, VAT & management accounts
- General financial administration on behalf of the clients
- Development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes
- Introduction of cloud tools
- Learning new software as it becomes available
- Working as part of the bookkeeping & management team
- Visits to client’s offices
- The desire to always produce work of the highest quality on a timely basis
- Knowledge of VAT, Self-Assessment and Corporate Tax
- Knowledge/experience of cloud tools (e.g. Receipt Bank)
- Strong communication and team working skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
- Have the confidence to speak to clients face to face
- Flexibility regarding working location
- Professional competence
- A working knowledge of Xero would be an advantage
- Predominately based in Brighton office in a relaxed, friendly, modern environment
- Hybrid working with agile working hours
- Paid overtime or take time off in lieu if you work over your contracted hours
