My client based in Crowthorne is recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their friendly team, providing bookkeeping services, preparation of VAT returns, management account reporting and various other duties.

The main duties of the Bookkeeper will be:

  • Bookkeeping processing and analysis
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns, to meet all compliance deadlines
  • Preparation of management data, whilst meeting client expectations
  • Payroll processing
  • General office duties, as required
  • Work is carried out both in the office and at client premises

Skills and experience required for the bookkeeper:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Level 5/Grade C or above)
  • Part-qualified AAT (level 2/3) is preferable but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping or data processing
  • Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage is preferable
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (e.g., telephone, face-to-face and email)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Open to learning new systems and processes
  • Holds a current Driving licence
  • Above all - a team player!

This is a lovely role paying up to £28,000 to £35,000 based on experience and is ideally a full time role working Monday to Friday 9-5 but would consider part time.
