We are seeking a qualified and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s team on a full-time basis 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of professional qualifications and practical experience, demonstrating proficiency in AAT Level 4 or equivalent, along with a strong accounting background .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Handle client enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Excel
  • Sage
  • Provide support and guidance to junior/trainee team members.
  • Occasionally visit clients for face-to-face meetings, demonstrating confidence and professionalism in client-facing situations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence in client-facing interactions
