Bookkeeper
Our client a very forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their expanding team in their Outsourcing department.
This is a great opportunity to manage a portfolio of Bookkeeping clients, building relationships and supporting/mentoring junior members of staff. The role will have scope to progress.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities
- Undertaking bookkeeping duties for their own portfolio of clients (various industries and sizes).
- Managing deadlines related to your client’s work
- Reconcile control accounts (bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, PAYE, wages, VAT etc.)
- Timely completion of VAT returns
- Prepare reports, letters, and other documents
- Prepare management accounts and accompanying information.
- Where necessary train and support clients.
- Establish a rapport with clients, directors, managers, and staff
Ideal Candidate
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in practice as a bookkeeper, relevant industry experience would also be considered
- Good IT skills (including MS Word and Excel)
- Experience of using Xero, QuickBooks & Sage
- Team player

- £28,000 - £34,000
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays
