Bookkeeper/ Lettings Account Manager
Part-time (09.00- 15.00- Mon-Fri)

Leatherhead, office based

£24,000- £27,000 (FTE)



We are working with a property client based in Leatherhead who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join their lettings team. The ideal candidate will be a confident and highly organised individual with a solid background in bookkeeping and accounting. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is adept at managing multiple financial tasks with precision.

Day to Day of the role:

• Manage client and tenant monies, ensuring accurate allocation of funds received.

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Oversee the banking facility and manage rent collection processes.

• Maintain cashbook spreadsheets and conduct weekly payments to Clients/Suppliers.

• Register and insure tenant deposits, as well as reconcile tenant deposit returns.

• Prepare and send out client statements and monthly management reports.

• Handle overseas Landlord tax requirements.

• Process and pay invoices onto the system daily/weekly.

• Receive and process purchase invoices, obtaining approval when necessary.

• Create schedules and reports as requested by Directors and Accountants.

• Assist accountants with the annual audit.

• Address client or tenant queries via telephone, email, or face to face.

• Regularly use Excel spreadsheets to manage financial data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Lettings accounts/bookkeeping.

• Strong IT skills and experience with property management software (e.g., Jupix, CFP, Repit) is beneficial.

• Highly numerate with the ability to work well under pressure.

• Proven bookkeeping experience and a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.

• Proficiency in English and in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

• Good concentration and an eye for detail.

• Ability to work to deadlines.

• A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.

• AAT certification is also preferred.
