Job Description for Bookkeeper:

Our client has the opportunity for a bookkeeper to join their team in a beautiful rural area of Redditch. This is a standalone position so previous experience within SME as a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or senior accounts assistant is essential. The role is office-based Monday-Friday 38.5 hours per week with a salary of £27-33,000 depending on experience. Must have own transport for this position due to the location of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Credit control, via invoicing, monthly statements & chasing overdue invoices
  • Balance sheet reconciliations to include bank accounts.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns for review
  • Process customer invoicing & creditor payments
  • Assist in the overall preparation & presentation of quarterly & annual accounts
  • Check customer ID and contracts
  • Process card payments
  • Payment allocation on Sage
  • Resolve customer queries on telephone & email
  • Support the Account Manager as required

KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong Organiser & Multi-Tasker
  • Problem solving and ‘can do’ approach
  • Attention to detail – meticulous, thorough, and right first-time mentality
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently.
