Role: Bookkeeper

Location: Nelson

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Our client based on the outskirts of Nelson / Colne is looking for a bookkeeper with experience of journals, accruals and prepayments with payroll administration;

  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries and accounts preparation to trial balance
  • Preparing and processing invoices and payments
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Preparation of hours, holidays and absences for the external accountant to process the Payroll - approx. 200 staff
  • Maintain strong relationships with staff and customers

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Payroll administration experience
  • Experience using Xero, Sage or SAP (or similar)
  • Must have strong Excel skills
