Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice on the outskirts of Oxford. They are looking for a bookkeeper to join their team based at their Witney office.

This is a great opportunity for an applicant with practice or other relevant Accounts experience, looking for a career in our progressive business environment, looking for reduced hours.

Reporting into the Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking the bookkeeping for a wide range of clients both onsite and remotely. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Bank and other Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Posting wages journals.
  • Raising Sales invoices for clients.
  • Assisting with clients’ credit control.
  • Acting as a point of contact for the client.
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Assisting with preparation of management accounts.
  • Assisting with payroll processing.

The ideal candidate should have previous Accounting experience, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You should also be a strong communicator, both verbally and written, comfortable liaising with clients. Prior experience of using Xero and Sage 50 is useful.

On offer is a salary of 25-30k (depending on experience) good benefits, and flexible hybrid working.
