Main Grade Lecturer – Access to H.E Biology   

35 Hour per week

£32,319 - £40,077

An exciting opportunity for a professional, creative, and committed biology lecturer has arisen in one of the country’s largest colleges. This is an opportunity for a dedicated educator to make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FE college, and to prove themselves as a dedicated and reliable teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons to Level 2 students who are studying GCSE Biology, or and Level 3 students on an Access to H.E pathway with biology as a core subject.

You will create effective and stimulating lessons for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression and development for all learners. You will have experience/knowledge of Access to H.E diplomas and the diverse cohorts that you will support. You will have knowledge and/or experience of how to support learners from a range of social, economic, and cultural backgrounds, so that they may reach their full potential. You will have high aspirations for your students and will work to establish links to HEIs and employers so that students can see beyond their course and towards their future careers. You will actively work towards meeting the college’s strategic goals and enablers, with the idea of ‘turning disadvantage into advantage’ being central to everything that you do.
