Bid Writer

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a regional contractor that works in collaboration with local authorities and private clients. They are a principal contractor that works on projects that are worth £4m and £10 million but also self deliver on schemes worth over £12m. They work on projects that have a scope of works that includes port expansions, sea defence structures, urban regenerations, flood alleviation schemes, wastewater treatment works, roads and infrastructure.

They are seeking a Bid Writer or Senior Bid Writer to join a small team whilst reporting directly to their Head of Preconstruction. You will work as part of the work winning team, alongside a team of estimators to produce effective bids.

As a Bid Writer, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Writing and presenting prequalification and tender quality submissions and meeting strict deadlines
  
  
• Writing and presenting prequalification and tender quality submissions for civil engineering projects, meeting strict deadlines
  
  
• Contributing to the tender risk assessment and bid/no bid process
  
  
• Researching information about construction projects and other industry issues and producing
  promotional/technical descriptions for use in bids and marketing
  
  
• Obtaining client feedback from bid submissions and developing systems to use feedback to improve future performance
  
  
• Monitoring client portals to track opportunities, manage tender queries and amendments
  
  
• Writing and producing marketing and presentation materials for external and internal audiences

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Experience working as a Bid Writer on construction projects

Proven experience in bid?management or bid coordination?and?quality writing

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
