Bid Executive Position

Location:  REMOTE working

Salary: £35,000

About the role:

As a Bid Executive, you will report directly to the Head of Bids who sits within the Sales Team. You will work closely with the relevant Business Development Managers within the Sales function and engage with key stakeholders including the Senior Management Team.
You will support the end-to-end bid process and the sales team in the creation of presentation materials and related collateral.
This role has a high level of collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Executive Leadership, Business Management, and our Legal functions meaning you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of teams to play a key role in supporting our business growth.

Key responsibilities: 
•Supporting with coordination and preparation of bids, tenders and RFPs ranging in size and complexity.
•Helping to define, design, create, amend, and maintain core Tender responses and answers working closely with the Head of Bids and Business Development Manager who will act as the executive sponsor.
•Close collaboration with the Head of Bids and Sales Director ensuring a rigorous review and refresh process is followed.
•Liaising with stakeholders to ensure all relevant data and information required for a Bid is provided within reasonable timeframes,
•Support kick-off meetings to prepare for Tenders, outlining key dates related to the Tender submission and ensuring all parties remain on track to meet these.
•Reviewing all documentation associated with a Tender to highlight areas for review (e.g., payment terms)
•Proactively contribute to the bid design process by helping to identify win themes.
•Working with the Business Development Managers to create unique value propositions in terms of bids, proposals and presentations.
•Working with the Internal Marketing team for support with relevant content to support Bid submissions.
•Supporting with internal wash-up meetings to identify lessons learnt and successes from Bid submissions.
•Making our services come to life by designing proposals and infographics, and creating compelling presentations


About you:

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (English, Journalism, Sociology, Humanities, Marketing or Design) preferable
•Ability to create engaging stories using PowerPoint for presentations
•Experience in designing and creating collateral, images, supporting visuals and/or presentations.
•Previous experience in bids and proposals
•Advanced and adaptive English writing skills with a strong orientation towards clarity, completeness and compliance; and the ability to position/wordsmith abstract sales and executive leadership direction into fluent, comprehensive and understandable copy.
•Ability to influence and manage stakeholders to ensure they prioritise Bid critical information.
•Ability to independently resolve issues and the disposition to promptly escalate larger issues.
•Ability to liaise with executive and senior leadership across the business.
•Expert Word/PowerPoint skills
•Ability to work across multiple workstreams and contribute effectively and collaboratively.
•Willingness to work flexibly to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules as and when required.
•A keen eye for detail and ability to consolidate key messages and information.
