We are currently working with a market leading Insurance & Reinsurance company to recruit a BI & Transformation Analyst. The successful individual will help drive the evolution of the Finance & Actuarial function into an automated, data-driven department. Responsibilities include standardizing processes, application of new technology and leveraging digitisation and automation opportunities that deliver significant and visible benefits

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Review existing financial & actuarial processes to identify opportunities for automation and enhancements.
  • Document solutions to mitigate key person risks and ensure solutions are simple and concise.
  • Scope, design, build and test new solutions, utilising the latest tools and best practices to drive the finance & actuarial function transformation journey.
  • Support the transition of new solutions from the development to the production phase, through delivering in-house training and shaping the development of support models.
  • Work in partnership with IT to explore and on-board leading software solutions that enhance how the finance and actuarial function operate.
  • Explore and leverage solutions being used across the group for the implementation.
  • Assist with the development and population of financial models that produce P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow impacts, which support commercial business opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have;

  • Full accounting or actuarial qualification.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VBA and Power Query.
  • Intermediate knowledge of databases, such as SQL and Familiar with data preparation tools.
  • Technical background in either Finance or Actuarial,
