BI Analyst

JOB TITLE: BI Analyst

LOCATION: Swindon

PACKAGE: £35-40k plus benefits and superb career opportunities

THE BUSINESS:

My client are a well established marketing services company with a superb reputation across the UK and Europe.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Work with stakeholders and the BI architect to capture, define business requirements.
• Participate in the design of the overall solution and assist in the production of associated documentation (High level technical spec and tests scenarios).
• Communicate with IT technical teams and Stakeholders, bridging the gap to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Work alongside developers during build being sure to represent the interest of the business users at all times.
• Work on multiple and concurrent projects without compromising quality or deadline commitments.
• When necessary, participate and assist with system testing.
• Support Acceptance Testing of end-to-end solutions by the business.

Key Skills required:

• Knowledge and understanding of business analysis and requirements gathering techniques, such as business process modelling, gap analysis and user stories.
• Deep understanding of Kimball methodology
• Solid experience of SQL (preferably including Oracle 12c).
• Logical and Physical database modelling
• Understanding use of ETL tools to gather and load facts and dimensions (preferably SAP Data Services or ODI).
• Understanding of a BI reporting suite (preferably Business Objects).
• Good communication and presentation skills - both written and oral.
