The race to net-zero is ever pressing in a climate conscious world and as you'll know, energy storage systems are an indispensable technology in the transition to sustainable energy.

Piper Maddox is working with the winner of the UK's best newcomer in the Energy Storage awards 2023, to hire someone to own their BESS engineering function. As the first dedicated BESS specialist, you'll have the oversight and ability to shape this function all while being well supported by the existing leadership team.

Atlantic Green have 500MW of BESS projects in construction, and pipeline for a 1.5GW operating portfolio in the next few years. With backing from both the JV partners (Nofar Energy and Interland Group) and major banks (Hargreaves Lansdown), projects are well funded.

Initially, your focus will be on the BESS Design and Optimisation, supporting on asset delivery, operational monitoring/maintenance, as well as the acquisition and grid integration processes. As such, you'll need to have hands-on battery storage engineering experience to be suitable for this role.
