Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a Benefits and Council Tax Officer to work within the London Borough of Newham. Your role will be to serve the customers of the Council by collecting the right council tax from the right person at the right time, and paying the right benefit to the right customer at the right time. 

Some Key Information is Highlighted below:

Rate: £22.32 per hour.

Location: Newham, E16 2QU.

Hours: 36 per week. Monday - Friday. 

Job Context: 

  • The post holder reports to a Council Tax and Benefits Manager.
  • The post holder will be expected to work across any of the service points within the service.
  • The post holder may be required to undertake home visits or property inspections. 
  • The post holder will work flexibly ad work as an effective team member. 
  • The post holder will be required to work some evenings, weekends and occasional public holidays in order to meet service requirements.
  • The post holder will be required to wear uniform and to ensure that all staff adhere to this dress code. 

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Compliance: 2 years references & Enhanced DBS

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
