Salary: £11.50 - £16.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker - Full Time

Based in Prescot Merseyside, Harrison Collier specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke high-end kitchens and interior cabinetry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our ever-expanding in-house team for an experienced Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker in a varied and interesting role.
The company operate at the very top end of the domestic luxury interiors market and the successful candidate must be personable and polite at all times whilst representing our company.

As a Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker your key responsibilities will include:

• Examining drawings and specifications
• Creating and assembling many different types of furniture
• Operating and maintaining hand tools / power tools / traditional woodworking machinery
• Marking out, cutting and shaping wood using a number of tools
• Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
• Working to timescales
• Opportunity to operate CNC machinery
• Joining our install team from time to time and may be required to work out of town for very short periods on rare occasions

The successful candidate will be:

• Experienced as a bench joiner or similar role in woodworking or carpentry
• Experienced in understanding CAD drawings
• Experienced in using hand tools / power tools / traditional woodworking machinery
• Knowledgeable in woodworking techniques, joinery methods and wood properties
• Reliable & Trustworthy
• Approachable and Hardworking
• Personable and polite
• Eager to Learn
• Self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team

And also have:

• Problem Solving Skills
• Good Organisational Skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to commute to Prescot, Merseyside (required)
  

The Benefits

Hours of work are 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, however the successful candidate must be prepared to work any overtime required to suit the needs of the business.

45 minute lunch break

22 Days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays
