Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children facing behavioural and mental health challenges? Looking for a new role in a mainstream primary school? Are you available to start work after May 2024? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated School team, as a Behaviour Support Worker in South Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with behavioural and mental health issues.
  • Implement and monitor individual plans in collaboration with the school's multidisciplinary team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being.
  • Utilise effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and fellow staff members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural and mental health issues is beneficial
  • Team Teach training is desirable.
  • DBS check is essential

Skills and Attributes:

  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.

Working Hours: This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work during standard school hours.
