Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant | Croydon, Crystal Palace | £95-£105 Daily Rate | Long-term to Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our partner school working closely with a year 2 child with ADHD who can showcase challenging behaviour. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students, helping them manage their behaviour and excel academically. As a Teaching Assistant specialising in Behavioural Support for you will play a vital role in the educational development and well-being of young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support to children with behavioural needs
  • Ensuring the emotional and academic progress.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of behaviour management plans.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive environment.
  • Working with small groups of students, to support their classwork and encourage positive behaviour.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs in an educational setting.
  • A patient and empathetic nature, with a deep understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualifications or training are desirable.
