Role: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Southwark, London
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within an educational setting
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with behavioural challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate conflicts
  • A valid and current DBS check registered on the update service

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students to provide individualised support and intervention strategies to improve behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members to develop and implement behaviour plans and strategies tailored to the needs of each student
  • Foster positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor
  • Implement restorative approaches to resolve conflicts and promote a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders as necessary
  • Support the overall well-being and personal development of students, promoting self-esteem and resilience
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to behaviour management and intervention strategies
