Behaviour Mentor | Birmingham, B66| £95 - £105 per day | Long Term - Permanent | April 2024 or Asap

LTF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our partner primary school located in the Birmingham B66 area. The primary school are searching for a Behaviour Mentor to join their inclusive and dedicated team to support with the progress and development of all students, including SEN students.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs, supporting them to develop academically, socially and emotionally
  • Supporting students on a 1-1 basis and in small groups, preparing and delivering targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SENDCO to discuss student's progress/concerns
  • Encourage active participation and engagement with learning and peers
  • Foster positive relationships with both students and staff
  • Support the classroom teacher to create appropriate and engaging resources dependent on student needs

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A relevant qualification/degree is desirable
  • A passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs to overcome challenges and barriers to learning & development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with students, staff and parents
