Behaviour/Learning Mentor - Colchester

Remedy Education, a leading education agency, is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Behaviour/Learning Mentor to join a special school in an alternate provision in Colchester. This role is ideal for individuals dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Behaviour/Learning Mentor, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the academic and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to students with SEN and SEMH needs in an alternate provision setting within a special school.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement in the learning process.
* Deliver small-group interventions to address specific learning and behavioural goals.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and the ability to implement effective strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Resilience and adaptability to work in a dynamic and challenging educational environment.
* A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.
