Battery Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for an experienced and collaborative Engineer to join a team working on new technologies in the fields of electrification and powertrain performance in the automotive industry. This full-time Battery Modelling and Simulation Engineer role is based in Coventry and offers a salary of up to £45,000 p.a. and excellent benefits.

As a Battery Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will join the CAE & Data Science team and cooperate closely with the established engineering team while taking responsibility for internal and customer projects.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

• Perform data processing and analysis, reporting to internal and customer teams and management
• Develop battery and powertrain models and perform thermal and electrical simulation activities
• Carry out analysis using 1-D and 3-D modelling techniques as applicable
• Present results and recommendation of analysis to stakeholders.

• Experience in battery or powertrain modelling and simulation, model correlation & validation against test data
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape
