A Leeds based Special School is seeking Bank Staff Teaching Assistants to work with them to support with cover for sickness, holidays and other absences. The school caters for children and young people aged 4 - 18 years with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviour. They are looking for an experienced Bank Staff Teaching Assistant to help with their day-to-day staffing needs.

As a Bank Staff Teaching Assistant, you will be required to:

  • Support the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the class.
  • To help run exciting and stimulating activities for the pupils.
  • To build rapport with the children in your care to help them feel at ease and comfortable.
  • To support and protect the safety and well-being of each child depending on the needs and requirements on their care plan.
  • To support pupils with personal care if needed.

This is an ideal role for people who are looking for flexible shifts to work alongside educational or home commitments. This role also allows you the freedom to choose the days you work each week to suit your personal life if you have other responsibilities outside of work.
