Job Overview
The post holder will provide day to day support to the Director of Transformation (Genomics), to accelerate the pace of change towards the future Target Operating Model (TOM).
This will include liaising with multiple parties to drive the completion of outstanding actions and supporting the Genomics Project Manager & Service Transformation Lead to support the bid programme.
They will have highly developed organisational abilities, and a drive to improve services and implement positive change. The post requires the ability to influence others to achieve the set objectives, highly developed communication skills and abilities to manage complex projects and key milestones.
This is a senior post holder which requires the post holder to work autonomously but recognise the limits of their role and refer to Director of Transformation (Genomics) and SDMs where they are unsure or need support.
This is a challenging role and the individual will be expected to work with stakeholders across the organisation and provide support to the senior leadership team within the Genetics laboratory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Bid Programme Support
- Drafting business cases & project briefs (& liaison with customers for supporting approvals)
- Informing executive colleagues on applicable projects and developments
- Cascading messages to teams (and collating responses where necessary)
Driving Change
- Supporting new test requests (including bill of materials, engaging with business development, finance, procurement, & customer)
- Escalating unresolved issues with support services including negotiating priorities (eg IT tickets, funding approvals etc)
- Reviewing and flagging variances to budget & supporting budget / business planning
- Drafting contract change notices in liaison with commercial team
- Co-ordination of Directorate projects and changes
Administrative support
- Maintaining action logs and chasing for updates (escalating where necessary)
- Co-ordinating agendas for customer meetings (and collating progress summaries for actions)
- Commissioning and collating performance reports (Site & customer performance review meetings)
- Reviewing and processing approvals: eg vacancy approvals, JDs & Job Adverts, overtime etc

This role is based in Synnovis Analytics which is responsible for the provision of Pathology testing services to Synnovis’ patients and customers.
This role is hybrid working with approx 3 days in the office with frequent visits to Guys & Kings College Hospital.
**This is a Bank role, offering an hourly rate of £30.64 - £34.40, depending on experience **
