Band 8b Clinical Psychologist

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting Nottinghamshire Health And Care NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support as part of the CAMHS and CLA services. The contract will run for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension.

Job Purpose: Band 8b Clinical

Pay Rate: £40.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Nottingham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: 1-2 days per week - 3 month contract

Key Responsibilities:

• To coordinate, contribute to and provide assessments and interventions for children and young people involved with Social Care Services. This will include making clinical judgements involving highly complex facts or situations which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.

• To undertake specialist risk assessment and risk management for individual clients within the looked after system and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.

• To provide specialist psychological advice and consultation to other professionals within the CAMHS CLA and CLA Health teams contributing directly to the formulation, intervention and care pathway for an individual looked after by the Local Authority.

• To provide training and consultation to enhance the potential for a psychological understanding of complex family situations and client histories to enable and inform appropriate intervention.

Requirements

• HCPC Registration

• Clinical/counselling Psychology Doctorate or equivalent
• Clinical experience and expertise in working with children.
