Are you a skilled Event Manager with experience co-ordinating and managing the logistics on large scale exhibitions? Then this could be the perfect role for you!

This is a fast-paced role that allows you to progress your career as part of a market leading company. This company facilitates world class solutions for its clients through top quality events and excellent customer service. To excel in this role you must have experience managing the full exhibition operations & logistics cycle from start to finish, as well as managing budgets, suppliers, exhibitors and sponsors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Experience planning and implementation from conception, attending initial meetings, implementing regular planning meetings and briefing all staff before any event
  • Ensuring you are representing the company in presenting a high quality event on the day by following procedure, meeting and briefing temp staff before the event and managing all suppliers
  • Ensuring event costs are contained and accurately managed, keeping accurate records, managing invoices, expenditure and operational costs.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships and always negotiate maximum service at minimum cost.
  • Appointing and briefing venue, contractors, freight forwarders, registration system operators, AV and minor suppliers as well as setting up and managing floor plans in advance of exhibitor promotion.
  • Ensuring sponsors and exhibitors are briefed accurately on their logistical requirements of their participation at the event
  • Arranging signage, menus, stands and other promotional features as per sponsor/exhibitor contracts.
  • Create and manage the build-up timetable and oversee break-down.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strong exhibition operations & logistics experience is essential
  • Attention to detail, problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills
  • Commercially minded, business acumen
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative - proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Highly organised - Planning/time management/self-organisation and self-discipline
  • Calm under pressure
