About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AWS Cloud Engineer to be part of a highly innovative forward thinking online challenger bank start-upwith major fund backing. You will be based remotely and from our London office to deliver best in class solutions.

You will be joining a small but experienced team building up the functionality of a bespoke best-of-breed banking technology, a single platform delivering loan issue, card issue and recovery.

We’re looking for an exceptional engineer who will work closely with the CTO and businesspeople as we scale up and modernise our business processes and tech stack.

Key Skill Requirements

  • 5+ years experience of AWS architecture, networking and resources including VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Cloudformation, Cognito, API Gateway, S3, VPN, EC2, ECS;

  • Strong AWS Security experience;
  • 5+ years experience with automation of DevOps build using GitLab/Bitbucket/Jenkins/Maven;

  • 5+ years experience with batch job scheduling and identifying data/job dependencies;

  • Good knowledge of software DevOps CI/CD tools, such Git, Jenkins, Linux, and Shell Script;

  • Ability to learn quickly, be organized and detail oriented;

  • Automated testing experience

  • Experience in Software Engineering and Development;

  • Understanding of database schema design;

  • Experience in supporting web applications including familiarity with web technologies

You will have a strong desire to work in a start-up / scale-up environment with a delivery focused approach to problem solving.

You will be a born problem solver, keen to dig into the technology supporting our business and demonstrating high standards of professionalism and integrity throughout the working day.

You will be equally comfortable mentoring colleagues through technical detail as well as rolling your sleeves up and leading from the front.
