Temp-to-perm opportunity for an Automotive Machinist
Rate of Pay between £14.29 - £15.90 per hour.
Hours of work include:
Rotating days: 0600-1330 / 1330-2100 rotating weekly Monday-Friday and Night Shift: 2100-0600 Monday-Thursday.
You will be responsible for running a CNC Laser weld, amongst a range of other equipment including water jets, hydraulic presses, and manual machinery. Maximising stock utilisation and minimising scrap or damaged items is key in all operational processes so a good eye for detail is important. The ideal candidate for the Automotive Machinist role will be PC literate, self- motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical, and numerate.
This is a renowned manufacturer of car parts and engine solutions, building frames for several major automotive brands. They are a progressive, fast-paced factory, offering the possibility of fixed term contracts once workers have successfully proven themselves. All applicants for this role MUST hold experience as an Automotive Machinist in a previous role.
- Operating robot welders
- Reading from technical plans and drawings
- Handling products in the most appropriate way to eliminate waste, damage in line with health and safety hazards.
- Ensure all computer-based stock control systems, and all supporting documentation, is fully maintained and accurate.
- Ability to programme machines to set-up, and to prepare and cut materials.
- Maintain and continuously build knowledge on all aspects of raw materials handled by the site.
