Auto Electrician / Motor Vehicle Electronics Technician who has experience of working in a vehicle electronics role with excellent diagnostic skills and Level 2/3 in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles is required for leading global aviation equipment provider based in Heathrow Airport.

WORKING HOURS: 4 on 4 off shifts - 6:00am to 18:00pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Auto Electrician / Motor Vehicle Electronics Technicianwho has experience of working in a vehicle electronics role with excellent diagnostic skills and Level 2/3 in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles.

Working as the Auto Electrician / Motor Vehicle Electronics Technician you will play a crucial part in the success of the company by offering your expert electrical knowledge in order to repair vehicles to the required standard.

As the Auto Electrician / Motor Vehicle Electronics Technician you will ensure that any electronic problems or malfunctions are identified and resolved in a timely manner, whilst adhering to corporate Health and Safety guidelines, ISO 9001 framework and the guidelines on vehicle maintenance.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Auto Electrician / Motor Vehicle Electronics Technicianinclude:

  • Determine malfunction of electrical systems on a wide variety of equipment by visual inspection of vehicle/equipment and coordinate with the Workshop Supervisor regarding day-to-day activities
  • Repair or replace defective wiring, lighting, air-conditioning, and safety control systems. Control and update the relevant maintenance records on daily basis
  • Test and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, batteries, voltage regulators, etc and repair/replace faulty ignition systems, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps, and switches
  • Install, maintain and repair electrically operated accessories, including telematics systems
  • Familiarisation of test instruments to carry out testing and quality control inspections and fully conversant with wiring/circuit diagrams to find and repair electrical faults

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 2 / 3 in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles
  • BTEC HNC Diploma
  • City & Guilds LGV 2 (Desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of working in a vehicle electronics role with excellent diagnostic skills
  • Able to obtain an airside pass which requires a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
