Position Overview: This firm is seeking a talented and experienced Audit Senior to join their dynamic team in Leatherhead. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a variety of audit portfolios, gaining exposure to diverse industries and clients, while also taking on responsibilities such as mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall success of the audit department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute audit engagements for a range of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards and regulations.
  • Plan and manage audit assignments, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on audit-related matters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with significant experience in external audit within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
