Audit Senior (Top 15) - NFP Sector
Central London (hybrid working)
£45,000 to £55,000

Butler Rose are delighted to be supporting this well-established and well known Top 15 firm of accountants, that are now keen to appoint a highly skilled and qualified Audit Senior for their NFP sector.

Role Responsibilities:
Perform the role of a Senior on audit and accounting assignments on behalf of a diverse range of clients (£7m - £20m T/O average).
Supervise and train new and junior members of staff in accountancy and audit.
Preparation and audit of statutory accounts to comply with UK GAAP and International auditing and accounting standards.
Preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders.
Monthly management accounts preparation.
Responsible for the training and supervision of new and junior members of staff in all aspects of accountancy and audit, and the use of CCH accounting software. Review work done by junior members of staff.
Other Responsibilities will include:
Respond to and deal with general client queries, passing on to appropriate person for resolution where necessary.
Maintain a keen interest in business development by promoting the firm and seeking new clients, as appropriate.
Follow new client set up procedures in line with Money Laundering regulations and Firm policies.
Work with Partners and staff to provide a personal, professional service for the benefit of both clients and the Firm.
Complete Job Appraisal forms for each assignment that last more than 3 days or where performance has been particularly good or particularly poor.
The Audit Senior is expected to delegate routine work to the juniors either on site or in the office, and to review that work when it is completed.

Person Requirements:
Qualified ACA or ACCA qualification with 1 or 2 years' post-qualification experience preferred, but would consider newly qualified
Experience of working effectively within a team
Experience of acting as a supervising senior on Audit Clients, audit team 2+
Strong IT skills including good knowledge of Excel and experience of CCH ProAudit software and CCH Accounts Production
Experience/expertise in charity auditing and reporting is desirable
Ability to drive with own vehicle
Experience and working knowledge of Xero
