Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the audit team to conduct audits for a variety of entities, including Limited Companies.
  • Perform audit substantive tests to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date system notes to support the audit process.
  • Provide support to the audit senior, assisting with various aspects of audit engagements.
  • Prepare and complete basic sections, such as analytical reviews, to be reviewed by the senior.
  • Communicate effectively with clients through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for a range of entities, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships.
  • Participate in the preparation of Corporation Tax computations.

The candidate

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified ACCA or ACA and have a minimum of a 2:1 degree or AAT qualification, with a strong academic background. They will be an excellent team player with exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software packages and an eagerness to learn and grow within the organisation.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £negotiable per annum - this will be discussed in our first conversation
  • Hours: 37.5 hours - Monday to Friday (Flexible working)
  • Holidays: Generous holidays plus holiday trading
  • Pension: Auto-enrolment
  • Other Benefits: Study support, free on-site parking, death in service
