This is a home-based role in an international accountancy network ensuring that member firms meet and maintain stringent quality management standards and the highest ethical standards in the provision of international assignments; enhancing the technical standards of audit services; sharing good practice between member firms, providing guidance on technical issues and raising its external profile.

Client Details

The global team of this international accountancy network is based in the UK and everyone works from home. The applicant must be able to travel to London on a regular basis for team meetings. Some international travel (15-30%) will be required.

Description

  • Arranging/conducting quality reviews of existing member firms as allocated by the DQPS
  • Administration of quality reviews undertaken by volunteers from member firms
  • Agreeing action plans prepared by member firms in response to reviews and monitoring implementation
  • Management and administration of the network's independence / conflict check system
  • Maintenance of the network's list of PIE clients
  • Issuing reminders to PCAOB-registered firms re their annual reporting responsibilities
  • Compilation of network information for EU member firms' transparency reports
  • KYC monitoring and updating of ongoing screening of member firms
  • Supporting the DQPS in providing guidance and support to members on global technical and quality issues,
  • Drafting and updating of written guidance and policies
  • Supporting the development and delivery of audit-related training initiatives and programmes
  • Leveraging technical expertise of members and supporting the sharing of best practice
  • Drafting responses to relevant external consultations e.g. new auditing standards etc.
  • The role has no line management responsibilities.

Profile

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Strong working knowledge of International Standards on Auditing, ISQM, and the Code of Ethics
  • Experience of undertaking audit quality reviews
  • Experience of managing risk, both identifying potential issues and developing appropriate responses
  • Ability to design and deliver technical training
  • Good knowledge of IFRS
