Audit Manager - Accountancy Practice

Location: Essex

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

My well established Chartered Accountantancy practice client are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join their growing Audit team. You will be reponsible for managing the client portfolio & leading the Audit team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of audit and accountancy assignments
  • Work closely & support the partners
  • Planning work, core work management and completion
  • Attend meetings with clients
  • WIP and billing
  • Liaise with clients and clients’ finance teams
  • Job plan staff allocation on assignments
  • Liaise and co-operate with other departments
  • Manage teams of staff on assignments
  • Planning work, core work management and completion
  • Mentoring trainees/junior team members
  • Business development

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Audit experience on a mix of clients and industries
  • Experience within a Mid-Tier Practice is essential
  • Knowledge of current UK GAAP accounting standards
  • Candidates must have a car and a full, clean driving license
