Audit Manager

In this role you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients and be comfortable leading and developing members of the Audit team. Beyond your core responsibilities, you will be an essential part of the business development efforts. As a key player in the team, you will attend networking events, contribute to pitches for new work, and work closely with the Partners to drive growth and success.

• Managing a portfolio of audit and accountancy assignments
• Supporting the partners
• Job plan staff allocation on assignments
• Planning work, core work management and completion
• Attending meetings with clients
• Liaising with clients and clients’ finance teams
• Liaising and co-operating with other Haslers departments
• Managing teams of staff on assignments
• Mentoring trainees
• Team building
• Business development
• WIP and billing
• Various allocated departmental responsibilities as assigned.
• Dealing with ad-hoc issues as they arise

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with good technical competence
• Solid audit experience on a mix of clients and industries
• Experience within a Mid-Tier Practice is essential
• Proven track record of portfolio management
• Knowledge of current UK GAAP accounting standards
• Experience of managing and developing a team is essential
• IT literate including Sage/Xero and CaseWare experience an advantage.
• First class communication skills and the ability to supervise and lead a team would be essential.
• Candidates must have a car and a full, clean driving license.
