We're looking for a qualified or QBE accountant with varied experience within practice. Previous audit experience is desirable but not essential. You'll have a proven track record of supporting a significant client portfolio, and you'll be technically minded, commercially aware, and have a keen eye for detail. Passionate about working closely with clients, you'll be adept at building and nurturing enhanced relationships as their go-to contact for queries.

Able to inspire those round you, you'll mentor junior staff by reviewing work with constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and identifying training opportunities. You'll also be enthusiastic about your own professional development, undertaking training and learning from the experienced team.

Job Purpose

• Support a varied client portfolio, overseeing budgets and deadlines.
• Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Limited companies, and Partnerships.
• Oversee various audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
• Work closely with senior management to ensure a high standard of service is being provided.
• Build trusted client relationships, being the go-to for support.
• Deliver a good commercial awareness, supporting the firm's strategic direction.
• Delegate work to staff and mentor trainees with constructive feedback.
