With a dynamic team and a commitment to excellence, this firm provides top-tier audit, accounting, and advisory services to a diverse range of clients across various industries and they are seeking a motivated accountant to join them as an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be involved in conducting audits of client accounts with precision and efficiency, preparing accurate financial statements and reports, assisting in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation and providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity on offer with a UK Top 100 firm of accountants and we’d be delighted to receive applications from professionals who are AAT qualified and/or studying towards their ACCA/ACA and who have at least 18 months of UK practice experience.

Job Purpose
  • Bookkeeping.
  • VAT preparations.
  • Aid in the preparation and review of accounts and tax returns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of audits from planning to completion.
  • Organise and manage client documentation efficiently.
  • Compile and present comprehensive financial and budgetary reports.
  • Ensure strict adherence to financial laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Analyse client financial data and offer insights.
  • Act as a liaison with HMRC.
  • Manage tasks within set deadlines.
  • Support the senior team on a range of ad hoc projects.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience with a reputable UK-based accounting firm.
  • AAT qualified and/or studying towards ACCA/ACA
  • Basic understanding of the audit process
  • Proficiency in accounts production
  • Tax computation experience
  • Bookkeeping skills
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Positive outlook and energetic approach
