Remote Safety Assurance Officer required!

Annual salary £33-£48k depending on location. Role will be fully remote with requirements to visit the office for a monthly meeting.

Sites are located across London and the Southeast

Our client a leading social housing provider are seeking two Safety Assurance Officers on a permanent basis.  You will be instrumental in implementing and supporting Safety Framework, providing competent advice and guidance on key risk areas, and ensuring a safe environment for all.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Implement and support the Safety Framework across the organisation.
  • Provide advice and guidance on key risk areas including Asbestos, Gas, Water, and Electrical safety.
  • Coordinate and complete safety audits, reviews, and incident investigations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to upskill staff in safety practices.
  • Work closely with the wider Safety Team to support contractor appraisal and management processes.
  • Travel nationally, primarily within London, with hybrid working arrangements allowing for a great work-life balance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
  • Practical experience in safety delivery and a good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience in Asbestos, Gas, Water, and Electrical safety.
  • Competence in coordinating and completing accident investigations, producing written reports, and undertaking audits/reviews.
  • Experience within a Housing Association or similar property-related organisation is desirable.
  • Additional qualifications such as P405, Legionella, and knowledge of electrical regulations (15th or 17th edition) are advantageous.
