What you'll do:

As an Assistant Financial Accountant, your primary role will be to support the Chief Accountant in maintaining the financial health of our UK entities. You will be involved in various aspects of accounting, from preparing month-end accounts and assisting with intercompany reconciliation processes, to handling statutory audits and tax computations. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure accurate balance sheet accounts, while your commitment to deadlines will guarantee timely completion of tasks. This role provides an excellent platform for those seeking to apply their skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Assist with month-end internal reporting to ensure the accuracy of the Trial Balance
Prepare month end accounts including journal postings
Assist with intercompany reconciliation process and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in year-end local statutory audit process and other statutory requirements linked to annual accounts process
Prepare monthly VAT return calculations and maintain deferred duty records
Provide analysis for Corporation Tax computations
Prepare balance sheet accounts highlighting any relevant Risks & Opportunities for half year and year end
Submit ONS surveys

What you bring:

The ideal Assistant Financial Accountant candidate brings a strong commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and continuous improvement. You are working towards completing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and have good Excel skills, with experience in SAP being an advantage. Your ability to work autonomously with local external stakeholders and across borders demonstrates your adaptability and commitment. Working towards completing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
