Associate Fire Engineer
A work life balance focused Fire Engineer company is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to Manage large, complex fire engineering projects, manage a team of Fire Engineers made up of senior Fire Engineers, Fire Engineers and graduates from a remote location.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant engineering degree to Bachelor's level
- Minimum 3 years' experience of working on fire engineering projects
- Minimum 2 years' experience of managing large, complex fire engineering projects
- Minimum 2 years' experience mentoring graduate/fire engineers
- CEng or working towards CEng
Responsibilities
- Associate Fire Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development of fee proposals for large and complex projects
- Management of a team of senior engineers/fire engineers/graduate fire engineers
- Management of health and safety (including mental wellbeing) of team in their work activities
- Delivery and support of the delivery of large, complex projects
- Managing relationships with large clients
- Dissemination of knowledge of latest developments in fire design legislation and techniques
- Team performance management and reporting
- Mentoring and management of team members
- Peer review of other engineers' strategies and reports
