Associate Electrical Engineer required. Our client is a building services and environmental design consultancy specialising in the design and integration of mechanical, electrical and public health systems for buildings. They are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer due to the growth of the business

Successful candidates will form part of the senior management team and will be responsible for leading the electrical team internally. Candidates will be highly competent in all areas of electrical engineering design including load calculations, energy profiles, low voltage electrical distribution, equipment sizing etc.

Associate Electrical Engineer Position Overview

  • Leading the electrical engineering design at all project stages and will lead the development of technical knowledge of electrical engineering within the company.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the electrical design package for all projects in the team.
  • Represent the company in client facing roles on a regular basis, regularly contributing to client presentations and external meetings.
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of internal processes, creating, and maintaining positive client and architect relationships, and developing leads for new business.
  • Lead the engineering design on multiple projects. To liaise with the external design team and take responsibility for ensuring the coordination of the building services design.
  • Lead the electrical team internally and act as line manager for senior members of the electrical team, managing the day-to-day workload of each team member.
  • Provide technical engineering leadership internally, developing innovative concept designs, sharing knowledge, and offering technical development and guidance to others.
  • Responsible for the welfare, job satisfaction and career development of team members.
  • To be aware of, and for certain projects manage, the fees and resources in the team and to take responsibility for the successful delivery

Associate Electrical Engineer Position Requirements

  • 5 years+ Experience in a similar role.
  • Highly competent in all areas of electrical engineering design including load calculations, energy profiles, low voltage electrical distribution, equipment sizing etc.
  • Highly competent in the design of fire alarm systems, data and IT systems, access control and security systems, and lighting / lighting control systems.
  • Experienced in the coordination of building services with architects and external design teams
  • Awareness of environmental design and sustainability issues in construction.
  • Experience of managing project finances and managing resources.
  • Experience in leading a project internally and acting as the primary point of contact for the external design team.
  • Competent in using 2D AutoCAD and modelling/BIM software such as REVIT.

Associate Electrical Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £70,000- £85,000
  • Working hours: 9-5:30pm
  • Remote working available on occasions
  • Life Insurance
  • Holiday package: 24 days + 8BH
