Assistant Warehouse Manager
Nottingham
£31k + Bonus
 
My client is an extremely well-established and one of the UK’s largest FMCG wholesalers & distribution providers of automotive parts, and we are proud to support in their search for an Assistant Site Manager to lead across their extremely busy distribution operation out of their depot near Nottingham.
 
This is a very visible and hands on role where you will be playing a key part in the delivery of operations of this busy shift where you will be tasked with leading & motivating the team of around 20 employees to ensure efficiencies across goods in/out, stock control, picking, loading and distribution. You will be leading operatives, pickers & FLT Drivers and delivery drivers and will ensure efficiencies across all areas.
 
Shifts: Monday – Friday 8 – 5:30
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift and ensure that all relevant communication, feedback and recognition are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To pro-actively work to identify areas for improvement & implement best practice within the business.
  • Motivate, train and develop staff.
  • To ensure any Customer Service issues are dealt with within the agreed timescales.
  • Manage and implement KPI’s / SOP’s.
  • Manage order processing, returns and stock requirements.
  • Work within all areas of the business to ensure the overall day to day requirements are managed successfully (e.g. stock control, returns, customer service, I.T etc.).
  • Ensure the warehouse H&S initiatives are respected and adhered to at all times.
  • To continuously monitor staff performance and seek areas for improvement.
  • Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity.
  • Identify and take responsibility for any potential operational inaccuracies & order discrepancies.

  • Ability to re-plan and adapt as the shift develops.
  • Ability to work with stock system - subject to training.
  • Able to bond with team and achieve shift objectives as required.
  • Experience of WMS.
