Your new role
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be required to assist with the commercial management of a number of housing projects from conception to completion. You will be required to assist in all aspects of subcontractor relationships within the commercial department to ensure cost-effective delivery of the business plan, maximising profit and value. The successful candidate will be involved in communication between head office and all suppliers, subcontractors, merchants, and site staff.

  • Understanding and passion for the house building industry
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • High level of ability to gather, analyse and interpret commercial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of negotiation and influencing skills
  • Confidential and professional approach at all times

To allow development into the role, the candidate would currently be one of the following. However, the client is open to people with no experience.

  • A-levels or equivalent qualification to enable progress to a quantity surveying degree
  • Currently enroled on a quantity surveying degree - ongoing progression of the degree course
  • Recently qualified from a quantity surveying degree course looking for a career path into industry.

What you'll get in return

  • Full-time working week is equivalent to 40 hours.
  • Salary - £23,795 -£25,000 depending on experience/Apprentice training/progression
  • Paid University Degree (if needed)
  • Put through NVQ (If needed)
  • Flexible Holidays
  • Flexible Working (2 days Work From Home when competent)
