TPF Recruitment has partnered with a fantastic, fast-growing and multi-sited firm of chartered accountants who are recruiting for an Assistant Tax Manager to join their team in Horsham. You will work in a mixed accounts and tax capacity, and have exposure to some excellent clients ranging from sole traders and small Ltd companies through to some significantly sized groups. Their clients are a mixture of both corporate and not-for-profit organizations. There are great prospects on offer in this leading firm of accountants.


The firm we are working with is open to receiving CV candidates who currently work in an Assistant Manager capacity or an experienced senior looking to progress into an assistant manager position. 


Accounts Manager Duties:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses made up of sole traders, Ltd companies, and LLPs
  • Reviewing and preparing statutory accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, and VAT returns
  • Managing the delivery of tax and accounts advisory projects and presenting the results to clients
  • Identifying and evaluating risk management issues
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Overseeing and supporting the work of more junior members of the team



Requirements


Our ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA newly or part-qualified.
  • Have some experience working with personal and capital gains tax (experience with inheritance tax, P11D forms, ATED returns, and trusts is desirable, but not essential)
  • Have a strong interest in tax
  • Aptitude for delivering excellent customer service
  • Approachable, with an ability to build strong working relationships
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as they would be dealing directly with clients



Benefits
  • £45,000+ dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
  • Although this is advertised as a full-time vacancy, we are happy to be flexible and would consider anyone who needs to work around caring responsibilities, etc. 
  • The role can involve hybrid working. We’re very open to this, but the role will involve some office-based days. There is no set pattern for the office-based days as we’re open to discussing the needs of the individual on a case-by-case basis
