Randstad C&P are recruiting for an enthusiastic, energetic Assistant Site Manager for a Tier One Contractor, working on delivering exceptional construction projects across Oxford. The contractor are dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

As the Assistant Site Manager, successful candidates will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the successful execution of the projects. The role will involve assisting in the coordination of on-site activities, maintaining safety standards, and fostering strong relationships with project stakeholders. Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction industry, with a keen interest in site management. Ideally having worked with a Tier One contractor previously.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and material procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Support in liaising with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to address any issues and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and budget expenditures, identifying potential risks and implementing solutions to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with site staff to provide guidance and support, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
