Position Overview:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various projects within the organisation. Working closely with the project management team, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, proposing solutions to mitigate them.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in project management or a similar role, preferably in the commercial sector.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering results.
